brisbanedialogues provides a resource for local artists, arts writers and artworkers to evaluate and engage in critical conversations about contemporary art initiatives, practices, exhibitions and projects taking place across Brisbane.
It is focused on surveying the production and presentation of challenging / innovative / experimental art, and raising questions that relate to the issues confronting artists making this kind of work. It aims to establish a forum for these discussions to take place, to explore the range of creative practices that are operating across the Brisbane area, and to raise critical dialogue about the art and artists that contribute to the creative and cultural life of the city outside of the commercial gallery system.
